RIJCK, the company

Matracon Holdings, which is the founding company of Rijck, has been involved since 1984 in safety and security for the oil and gas industries - as well as for the shipping industry. The initialactivities of the Matracon Holdings group included safety training for personnel working in the

offshore oil and gas industries. Those activities expanded rapidly and now cover all aspects of safety and security, including defensive driving courses employing VVS technology. From the latter, it was a simple and logical step to expand into the manufacture of armoured cars resulting in the founding of Rijck.

RIJCK was established with the primary objective of making high quality and cost effective armoured limousines, expertly designed for their specific purpose. Rijck’s facilities are located in the Netherlands and Germany, with strategical partners in Switzerland and Mexico.

With comprehensive skills in the fields of R&D, design, engineering, craftsmanship and technology,Rijck is able to offer individual customers the opportunity to order an armoured limousine that is designed to meet their own exclusive requirements of luxury and comfort, as well as the most stringent security specifications. RIJCK is proud to include heads of states, royal families, high ranking officials and aid agencies amongst its clients.

Luxury armoured limousines

Terrorism, crime, kidnapping and carjacking have become part of daily life worldwide. For many years security and the demand for luxury and comfort were in conflict with each other.

By successfully blending the latest in armour technology with traditional craftsmanship, each RIJCK vehicle is manufactured to the highist standards of ballistic protection and security,  while at the same time maintaining superior levels of luxury and comfort.

Rijck has established a considerable reputation for itself within the rather competitive field of armoured luxury vehicles.

Rijck is one of only two manufacturers worldwide that armours the acclaimed Maybach limousine up to level B6 CEN.

Stretched luxury limousines

Within our production facilities Rijck also has it’s own coach building department that will carry out restructuring tasks like stretching and raising the bodywork of a vehicle into desired dimensions. This particular department is amongst others responsible for the production of the Rijck stretched S-Class. This vehicle combines outstanding innovative automotive technology with comfort and luxury of the highest order.

As Rijck’s emphasis is on manufacturing tailor-made solutions our customers can choose from a variety of stretching dimensions. The additional space benefits the rear passengers, who are able to relax in comfortable opposite seats.

Rijck’s customers are able to equip the rear compartment of the stretched S-Class limousine entirely according to their personal requirements. This not only applies to the choice of materials and the colour scheme, but also to the technology which makes travelling in this VIP limousine even more pleasant and entertaining.

Advanced Driving Program

Once a car is armoured the driver becomes the weakest link in the security chain. In situations where the vehicle gets exposed to danger its driver is forced to make split second decisions without any room for even the slightest error.

In 2004 Rijck has initiated its Advanced Driving Program in cooperation with several well renowned

experts in this particular field. The courses held through the Advanced Driving Program familiarize drivers with the performance and handling characteristics of our armoured vehicles. The courses are specifically adapted to the individual skills of the participants. They are taught how an armoured vehicle can be used to foil attacks and how to identify a threat in an efficient manner.

The objective of our Advanced Driving Programme is to provide the driver with the knowledge, skills and ability required to effectively provide secure and safe transportation. 

Armoured SUV’s and 4WD’s

Apart from armoured limousines Rijck also produces armoured luxury SUV’s like the Mercedes-Benz Geländewagen. These SUV models combine a spacious and comfortable interior with outstanding performance on every possible terrain.

RIJCK’s unique armouring technique does not compromise the integrity of the vehicle’s structure, nor does it affect the vehicle’s performance and capabilities.

When armouring a luxury SUV it is apparent that due to additional weight a very special chassis concept is required. That is why all Rijck armoured SUV’s are equipped with a chassis that mixes total performance and inherent control with exceptional all-around practicality.

As with all other RIJCK products, the customer has a broad choice of sophisticated personal safety options.
